O'GormanTaylor Limited, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 05826406, ("O'GormanTaylor", "we", "us", "our") places great importance on the privacy and security of all its Clients and Candidates (as defined below).

We are a legal search and selection company that places Candidates into roles within the legal business. For us to do this we need to collect and process personal data. We collect personal data pertaining to (a) candidates who we are looking to place into a job ("Candidates"); (b) clients and individuals at clients who are looking to find suitable Candidates to fill vacancies ("Clients"); and (c) other third parties who interact with us.

When you interact with us we may collect from you certain personal data (as defined in applicable data privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) ("GDPR") ("Privacy Laws")). We may also collect data from publicly available sources. We are acting as the data controller in respect of such data. At all times, we will act in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Laws.

Please note we do not collect any personal data when you visit our website, but if you approach us using the contact details on our website your personal data will be held in accordance with this privacy policy.

Security, retention and transfer of personal data

We have adopted strict security processes, in accordance with good industry practice, to prevent the unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, your personal data. Notwithstanding our implementation of these policies, please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you send to us via the internet or which is collected using online devices/tracking technology.

We may transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA") when we are required to provide your personal data to our Clients, Candidates or service providers who are located in countries outside of the EEA or where we have other legal grounds to do so. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy, including ensuring that adequate protections are in place in respect of the processing of such data outside of the EEA.

We will retain your personal data on our systems only for as long as is strictly necessary for the purposes for which such data was originally collected (or for such longer period as may be required by law, including in connection with any tax obligations).

When determining the relevant retention periods, we will take into account a number of factors including our contractual obligations and rights in relation to the information involved, our legitimate interest in retaining such data, any obligation to retain data under applicable law, and request you may have made to have your information deleted and guidelines issued by relevant data protection authorities.

Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances. We may also need you to confirm your identity before we proceed with your request if it is not clear to us who is making the request.
